Practice Makes Progress!
#MeToo to #IAMME
While our #MeToo experiences are devastating leaving us feeling alone, guilty and ashamed, WE are not alone. TOGETHER WE CAN GET BETTER! I believe in the healing power of art because creating helped me to let go of the victim – the raging anger and anxiety – to become a survivor and thrive in using my experience – as painful as it was (9/26/86) – to help others. I call this #IAMME!
From a mask Workshop I teach. Sometimes I still feel fractured and angry on the inside, but work to be balanced on the outside. Creating this mask helped me to express that.
Together we can reclaim and honor #IAMME. Together we can learn that we don’t need to hurt ourselves with substances or self-destructive behaviors because of an evil act done to us that was NO FAULT of our own! Together we can create self-esteem, courage, and confidence.
I would be honored to hear from you and learn about your questions or struggles you may have when it comes to embracing #IAMME. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or Private Message me so I can get to know you better! I am excited to connect with you and learn more about your story so we can get better together thru the healing power of art!
NOTE: I am an art for healing facilitator and not a therapist or doctor. If you feel the need, please contact a mental health professional and/or doctor.
